GeneSight Testing
One of the things that makes Solution Based Treatment a unique provider of care is GeneSight testing. GeneSight Testing is a genetic test that helps our Treatment Team identify medications for mental health disorders that will work best for our clients.
What is the Value of GeneSight Testing?
The primary value of GeneSight Testing is to find medications that work for our patients best. The test is a simple cheek swab. We send it to the GeneSight lab and they quickly send us back a report that identifies medications that patients may respond to well. It also identifies medications our patients may not respond to well.
GeneSight Testing and Dual Diagnosis Treatment
Dual Diagnosis Treatment is increasingly common as many people that present with substance use disorders also suffer from mental health disorders. Experts are not sure if substance use disorders cause mental health disorders or if mental health disorders cause substance use disorders. All tat researchers know presently is that they are frequently co-occurring. That’s why GeneSight testing is so valuable. It helps patients decrease the time it takes to find the right medications to treat mental health disorders. When the negative symptoms of mental health disorders are decrease with proper medication, it may lead to decreased use of substances of abuse.
Treatment Programs Offered by Solution Based Treatment
In addition to dual diagnosis treatment, Solution Based Treatment also offers many other programs. We help clients nationwide in our inpatient detox programs, inpatient mental health programs and in our outpatient and day treatment services.
Inpatient Detox Programs
Inpatient detox is one of the services that Solution Based Treatment is best known for. We offer all manner of programs from alcohol detox, fentanyl detox, detox for other opioids and benzodiazepine detox programs.
Residential Treatment Programs
The vast majority of patients we serve in our inpatient detox programs continue their care with us in our residential treatment programs. Our residential treatment programs last 30, 45 or 60 days depending on the needs of our clients. Our residential treatment programs help people with substance use disorders such as addiction to alcohol, cocaine, methamphetamine, heroin and other opioids and benzodiazepines.
Inpatient Mental Health Treatment
We’re not just an addiction treatment center. We also treat people on an inpatient and outpatient basis for mental health disorders that do not suffer from substance use disorders. In our outpatient and inpatient mental health programs, our Treatment Team brings a wide variety of approaches to care for their patients. We help people with trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety disorders and more. Through cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy and a wide variety of other approaches, we help our clients improve their mental health and live stress free.
Day Program (Partial Hospitalization Program)
Many of our clients that graduate from our residential programs opt to continue their care with us. While we call it Day Treatment, many insurance companies refer to our step-down program as Partial Hospitalization. During this phase of care, clients come to our intensive outpatient treatment center part-time and either live at home or live in a sober living home typically.
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
Our intensive outpatient program can last for 30 days up to a year. Just like our day treatment program, clients live on their own, sometimes at home or live stress free in a local sober living home. When our clients consider IOP treatment, we refer them to sober living homes in the local area when they need it. It’s part of the discharge process from inpatient to outpatient care.
How Do I or a Loved One Get Admitted to Solution Based Treatment?
The first step in the admissions process is placing a call with the Admissions Department at (833) 999-1941. On the initial call, our Admission Advisors will learn about your needs or the needs of your loved one. They’ll explain all of our different treatment options and then they’ll determine if your insurance will cover the cost of care.
Is GeneSight Testing Offered to All Clients?
GeneSight testing isn’t necessary for everyone. Our clients that do not present with mental health disorders would not need it. Moreover, those clients that are satisfied with their medications they take for mental health disorders may not need it either. We offer GeneSight testing to the clients our Treatment Team thinks it would benefit most.
