ComPsych for Medical Detox

ComPsych insurance plans may cover medical detox. Medical detox is a detoxification method that pairs you with medical providers for supervision and assistance. Normally, medical detox takes approximately one week. Solution Based Treatment offers alcohol detox, opioid detox, benzodiazepine detox as well as other detox programs.

ComPsych Coverage for Residential Treatment

Rehab program ComPsych insurance may cover residential treatment. Residential treatment refers to SUD programs that range anywhere from 28 to 90 days in length (or sometimes longer) and require you to live on-site. 

ComPsych Coverage for Outpatient Treatment

Rehabs that take ComPsych often offer outpatient treatment. Outpatient treatment can require as little as a few hours a week up to many hours a day depending on the intensity. With an outpatient program, you return home at the end of therapy sessions, medical appointments, group therapy, or other aspects of your care. 

Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP)

A rehab program that takes ComPsych may offer an intensive outpatient program (IOP). An IOP often requires you to come to the facility for treatment several days a week for several hours a day. However, you will not stay overnight. 

Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP)

Partial hospitalization programs (PHP) are similar to intensive outpatient programs but are more intensive. These programs have structured services throughout the day but allow patients to return home in the evening. These programs typically occur daily, sometimes as much as seven days a week.

Outpatient Treatment

Outpatient treatment may be covered by ComPsych, as well. Outpatient treatment may include group or individual therapy sessions, 12-step programs, medication management appointments, and psychiatric support, for example. In outpatient treatment, you may see a provider a few times a week for a short amount of time each visit, once a week, or even less often as you work through the program.

Does ComPsych insurance cover drug and alcohol rehab?

Do treatment centers need to be in-network?

To get the most coverage possible, it’s best to stay in-network regardless of your insurance or EAP. ComPsych coverage varies based on the form your employer has purchased. Check your schedule of benefits or call our Admissions Department to learn more about your coverage. 

How much does ComPsych insurance cover?

ComPsych isn’t a typical insurance plan, and it has no deductibles or out-of-pocket limits. It also has no annual limit on what the plan pays, but it may cover a limited number of SUD sessions annually. Contact your employer’s Human Resources department, our Admissions Department, or review your schedule of benefits for more information. 

How do I pay for costs not covered by ComPsych insurance?

To cover costs not paid by ComPsych, you will need to pay out of pocket. Our Admissions Department can go over different payment plans with you, but you may also choose to pay with cash, credit card, debit card, or other methods. 

How is a ComPsych HMO different from a PPO?

An HMO is different from a PPO in two main ways. First, an HMO tends to cost less. Second, an HMO has its own network and generally doesn’t cover out-of-network services. On the other hand, a PPO gives you more flexibility and covers some out-of-network costs, but you will normally pay more each month for your coverage. 

Can you get a single case agreement with ComPsych?

Generally, ComPsych does not cover out-of-network care. However, you may be able to negotiate a single case agreement. Log into your account with ComPsych GuidanceResources and contact ComPsych to get more information in accordance with your plan.
