Quantitative EEG Brain Mapping

Quantitative electroencephalography (QEEG) is the process of measuring brain wave patterns to draw conclusions about brain function. Quantitative EEG brain mapping reveals data about stress levels, thought patterns, emotions, learning capabilities, and cognitive and psychiatric conditions. Quantitative EEG can be combined with GeneSight testing to tailor treatment to each client’s brain chemistry.

What is Quantitative Electroencephalography?

The brain scans done through quantitative EEG give highly accurate information about a client’s brain. All scans are done after a client has completed detox to ensure a clear read. The process is quite seamless, taking 4-5 minutes per scan per person. The set up process takes only about 10 minutes for the mapping software and headpiece. The entire quantitative EEG testing process is painless for the client.

How Does Quantitative EEG Help Clients?

Quantitative EEG will occur every Tuesday and Thursday starting at 10:30 a.m. and will be followed by individualized care. The follow-up care will consist of meeting with a psychiatric specialist via telehealth to discuss results approximately a week later. From there, the medical team will give recommendations for treatment and log the information in the client’s file. Quantitative EEG brain mapping helps clients by allowing their treatment team to gain valuable insight into their brain function and emotions to better treat their condition.

The Use of Quantitative EEG Combined with GeneSight Testing

GeneSight testing is a genetic test that enables care providers to identify medications for mental health disorders that will work best depending on genetics. When combined with quantitative EEG, GeneSight testing gives clinicians and medical teams a full picture on how to approach the treatment for each client. This reduces the “trial and error” process of treatment for mental health conditions like substance use disorder.

Treatment Programs Offered by Solution Based Treatment

In addition to quantitative EEG brain mapping treatment, Solution Based Treatment also offers a comprehensive set of programs. We are driven to assist clients nationwide with our inpatient detox programs, inpatient mental health programs and in our outpatient and day treatment services.

Inpatient Detox Programs

Inpatient detox is the first, most crucial step of addiction treatment. Solution Based Treatment offers treatment for many different substances from alcohol detox, fentanyl detox, detox for other opioids and benzodiazepine detox programs.

Residential Treatment Programs

Most patients who undergo detox with us transfer to one of our residential treatment programs. Our residential treatment programs last anywhere from 30, 45 or 60 days depending on the treatment plan determined by their team. Our residential treatment programs allow support for people with substance use disorders such as a dependence on alcohol, cocaine, methamphetamine, heroin and other opioids and benzodiazepines.

Inpatient Mental Health Treatment

Solution Based Treatment offers mental health treatment beyond quantitative EEG programs. We provide treatment on both a inpatient and outpatient basis for mental health disorders in clients that do not also struggle with substance use disorders. For both outpatient and inpatient mental health programs, our Treatment Team varies their approach depending on the needs of the client. Our programs aid people with trauma, PTSD, depression, eating disorders, anxiety disorders and more. Through cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy and quantitative EEG brain mapping, we help our clients improve heal from the inside out and learn to cope with mental health conditions.

Day Program (Partial Hospitalization Program)

Most clients that complete one of our residential programs choose to continue their care with us. While we refer to it a Day Treatment, many insurance companies refer to the treatment style as a Partial Hospitalization Programs. During this type of care, clients come to one of our intensive outpatient treatment centers part-time during the week and either live at home or live in a sober living home of their choice.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

Our intensive outpatient program can last for 30 days up to a year depending on the client’s need. As with our partial hospitalization day treatment program, clients are able to live on their own, either at home or in one of our local sober living homes. When our clients enroll in IOP treatment, we refer them to sober living homes in the local area if they desire it.

How Do I or a Loved One Get Admitted to Solution Based Treatment?

The first step to the recovery process is calling and chatting with the Admissions Department at (833) 999-1941. On this initial call, our Admission Advisors will ask the right questions about either your needs or the needs of the loved one you are calling for. On that call, they will explain all of the different treatment options Solution Based Treatment offers and then they’ll determine if your insurance will cover the cost of care, and how much they will cover.

Is QEEG Testing Offered to All Clients?

Qualitative EEG testing isn’t right for everyone. Any clients that do not exhibit signs of mental health disorders would not be the best candidate for it. Moreover, any clients that are stable and content with the medications they already take for mental health disorders may not need it either. We offer qualitative EEG brain mapping for the clients our Treatment Team thinks it would benefit most.
